Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure is an innovative procedure designed for people with bleeding, inflamed, or receding gums. It is a patented therapy designed for regeneration of the pockets, and is done instead of surgery. The FDA approved this laser assisted procedure for treatment of gum disease in 2004. The laser energy removes diseased or infected gum tissue, and because it is selective for this diseased tissue, it permits healing and spares healthy tissue. Following your hygiene cleaning, the dental laser is used to disinfect and heal the periodontal pockets. Our dental laser is also used as a cure for canker sores, oral ulcers, and other oral lesions. Anesthesia is not necessary because of the healing properties and ability and precision of the laser.
